COVID-19: Our Response

We understand this has been a challenging time for you, and that you may have questions about returning to the hospital to receive medical care. Our team at the Berenson-Allen Center for Noninvasive Brain Stimulation is proud to have safely continued care for our patients most at need throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.

To ensure the safety of our patients and our staff we have put in place the following policies:

  • Providing face masks to all patients and staff during TMS appointments
  • Sanitizing treatment rooms before and after every treatment
  • Daily symptom and exposure screening prior to each visit. Assisting patients when necessary in connecting with appropriate resources for further testing and care
  • Requiring symptomatic patients to stay home and suspend care until medically cleared
  • Separating patient waiting areas and preparing rooms in advance for direct entry when possible to limit patient exposure to the local environment, patients, and staff.

While visitors are normally welcome at our center, during this extraordinary time we are not allowing patients to have any visitors except those requiring additional assistance due to an intellectual/physical disability. We are taking this step because it is in the best interest of our patients, our staff, and the general community.
