Julia Casas

Julia Casas, B.A.
Clinical Research Coordinator

Education History:
B.A., Neuroscience and Global Health & Health Policy, Harvard University

Julia graduated from Harvard in 2024 with a degree in Neuroscience: Mind, Brain, Behavior with a secondary in Global Health & Health Policy. In her time as an undergraduate, she worked in the Olveczky Lab through the Center for Brain Science studying computational neuroscience with an emphasis on the motor cortex. She wrote and defended a thesis on the automated measurement of social touch in rat models of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). At the Berenson-Allen Center, she will be assisting Dr. Subramanian in her research on biomarker identification of rTMS response in depression.

Personal Interests/Hobbies:
As a native Californian, Julia enjoys exploring the greater Boston area in her free time. She also loves to play tennis, watch movies, and spend time with her friends.

Personal Goals:
Julia is looking forward to helping patients through TMS treatment and learning more about the field of Psychiatry. In the future, she hopes to pursue an MD and utilize her newfound research and clinical knowledge in medical school.
